My first entry on my new blog... exciting! Assuming introductions are in order, let me share a few things about myself...!! A thirty-something Native Texan, I was born in San Antonio but have lived in North Texas more than twice as long as I ever lived down south.. nutty! My husband (The Hubs) is from England and we have a Darling Daughter (referred to as CB)... I am blessed to currently be at stay-at-home mom but plan to return to the classroom in a few years (have to put my master's degree back to work). I am also writing a children's book series (details later!) and practicing being more domestic and crafty than I was when I worked outside the home.
So... why Lone Star Prep? Hopefully to help define what it means to be preppy in Texas, specifically west of the Trinity River (I hear things are much different over in Big D, heehee!) A self-proclaimed prep, I love tradition, polos, monograms, etiquette, pearls... along with many, many other preppy things! Khakis are a wardrobe staple, I have a slight obsession with Lilly Pulitzer sandals, and I believe I attended an Ivy League university in a former life. Did I attend prep school? Nope... but not many Texans do... so I am not going to let this small detail stop me! : )
I hope you enjoy reading this blog as much as I plan to enjoy writing it... Happy Reading!
A new blog! Yay! I've been looking for preppy blogs lately--seems there are quite a few out there, although not all are worth reading. Yours looks good so far!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Hopefully I can live up to the expectation : ) Be sure to become a follower, I have a lot planned for this blog!
